Petrovic makes pro debut, Ogden hits first pro homer

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (September 5, 2026) - Saturday's game between the St. Lucie Mets and Jupiter Hammerheads at Clover Park was suspended in the first inning due to inclement weather.

The game will resume tomorrow at 12:10 p.m. and be completed through nine innings. It will be the final game of the season. There will not be second game.

The game is tied 1-1. Jake Ogden (undrafted - Miami) homered to left in the driving rain with one out in the bottom of the first. It was his first career home run. The game immediately entered a delay after Ogden touched home plate.

Luis Arana stole home with two outs in the top of the first inning for the Hammerheads run.

Alex Petrovic (6th round - Auburn) made his professional debut for St. Lucie on the mound. He struck out two batters and allowed one run and one hit.

Fans with tickets to Saturday's game can exchange those tickets for Sunday or any game in the 2027 St. Lucie season. First responders can also receive a free ticket.

Sunday is Fan Appreciation Day. All fans will receive a free raffle ticket upon entry and prizes will be raffled off every half inning. Kids who wear their Little League uniforms receive free admission.
