6/9/2023: Mets Roster Moves: Alonso to IL, Guillorme Back, Nogosek DFA'd, Muckenhirn up, Nido to AAA

 


The New York Mets have announced the following Roster Moves: 


Medical Updates:

 

INF Pete Alonso: After undergoing additional imaging, Pete has been diagnosed with a bone bruise and a sprain of his left wrist. He has been placed on the IL. A typical return to play for this type of injury is approximately 3-4 weeks.

 

RHP Edwin Uceta underwent surgery to address a torn meniscus in his left knee. Surgery was performed by Dr. Andrew Pearle in New York. A typical return to play for this type of injury is approximately 8 weeks.

 

Transactions:

 

INF Pete Alonso has been placed on the 10-Day IL, retroactive to June 8, with a left wrist bone bruise and sprain.

 

INF Luis Guillorme has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse.

 

LHP Zach Muckenhirn has been recalled from Triple-A Syracuse.

 

RHP Stephen Nogosek has been designated for assignment.

 

Catcher Tomás Nido has been outrighted to Triple-A Syracuse.
