The Brooklyn Cyclones (23-29) battle the Greenville Drive (29-24) — the High-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox — on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island. 

RHP Christian Scott (1-0, 2.89) — the New York Mets’ No. 26 prospect per Baseball America —­ is scheduled to take the hill for Brooklyn against Greenville’s RHP Hunter Dobbins (3-1, 3.21).

LAST TIME OUT: The Cyclones collected their 5th walk-off win of the season on Wednesday afternoon vs. Greenville...DH Kevin Parada powered a go-ahead solo home run in the 7th and provided the walk-off RBI single in the 9th, as part of a 3-hit game...Greenville tied it in the 8th on a sacrifice fly...Trailing 5-2, C Drake Osborn pounded a game-tying 3-run shot in the 6th and scored the winning run, starting the rally with a single...SS William Lugo tallied 2 hits and an RBI, while CF Alex Ramírez singled, walked twice, and stole a pair of bags...LF Nick Decker posted 2 hits — both doubles — and an RBI for the Drive...LHP Eli Ankeney retired all 6 batters he faced, earning his first Cyclones victory. 

 

DOUBLE TROUBLE: After Thursday’s postponement due to poor air quality, the Cyclones will battle Greenville in a doubleheader on Saturday...Friday will still be a single 9-inning game...Brooklyn was swept in Saturday’s twinbill at Jersey Shore, dropping to 1-7 in doubleheader games in 2023...All 4 doubleheaders Brooklyn has played have been in visiting ballparks...This year, the ‘Clones are 22-22 in regularly scheduled 9-inning games.
