With more Rule 5 Roster Moves anticipated later today - here is an initial move that the New York Mets made today:
Per the Atlanta Braves via X, they have claimed Penn Murfee off waivers from the Mets.
Mets had claimed Murfee just two weeks ago on October 31 and tried to slip him through waivers but the Braves have claimed him.
The move lowers the Mets 40-Man roster to 32
Mets have until 6 tonight to add more players to roster to keep them out of the Rule 5 Draft.
