According to Anthony DiComo on X, the Mets have re-signed Ryne Stanek to a one year deal.
Per Marc Feinsand on X, the deal is for $4.5 million with $500K in incentives.
Obtained from Seattle last year on 7/26/24 for Minor League Outfielder Rhylan Thomas, Stanek was 1 and 0 with a 6.06 ERA in 17 games, 16.1 innings, 13 hits, 8 walks, 23 Ks. He faired better in the playoffs going 1 and 0, 3.38 ERA in 7 games, 8 innings, 5 hits, 3 walks, 8 Ks;
Stanek will turn 34 in July.

Ryne Stanek (signed by NYM) is a stuff monster with an electric fastball and wicked splitter. He is extremely productive at generating whiffs in the zone but his effectiveness is hampered by his command issues
