Here are the Brooklyn Cyclone Game Notes for today's game.

The Brooklyn Cyclones (6-2, 52-22) wrap up their six-game homestand against the Jersey Shore BlueClaws (2-6, 27-44) — the High-A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies — on Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m. from Maimonides Park on Coney Island in Brooklyn, N.Y.

 

RHP Noah Hall (5-3, 2.27) is expected to make the start for the Cyclones. The BlueClaws are projected to counter with RHP Brandon Beckel (0-1, 3.02).

LAST TIME OUT: Brooklyn grabbed yet another series victory thanks to a 6-4 takedown of Jersey Shore on Saturday night, improving their series record to 10-0-3 through the first 13 sets...The victory also marked Brooklyn's 30th home win of the season, and improved the 'Clones to 30 games over .500 on the year...LHP Jonathan Santucci continued to excel, tossing 5.2 innings while allowing 3 runs on 7 hits...He walked only 1 while logging a career high 8 K’s...Relievers RHP Chandler Marsh, Jace Beck, and Brett Banks followed suit with 3.1 innings of scoreless ball...SS Colin Houck logged a multi-hit effort including a double, while CF A.J. Ewing, 1B Onix Vega, and DH Troy Schreffler Jr. also logged multi-hit affairs...Brooklyn let a 4-0 lead turn into a 4-3 lead before scoring a run in the 4th and 5th to create separation...Jersey Shore scratched a run across in the ninth, and put the tying runs on base, but the 'Clones got RF Joel Dragoo to ground into a fielder's choice to end the game.

 

THE WINK MAN: OF Jesse Winker has joined Brooklyn on a Major League rehab assignment as he works his way back from a right oblique strain...Winker was placed on New York's 10-day IL on May 5 and transferred to the 60-day IL on June 24...Acquired by the Mets last year via trade with the Washington Nationals at the deadline last year in exchange for former Cyclones RHP Tyler Stuart...He signed a 1-year contract with New York on January 17...Winker was an All-Star in 2021 with Cincinnati, when he hit 24 home runs and logged a .949 OPS...In 24 games with the Mets this year, Winker was slashing .239/.321/418/.738...Originally a first-round pick by Cincinnati in 2012, Winker has played at the big league level for the Reds, Seattle Mariners, Milwaukee Brewers, Nationals, and Mets.
