With their 4th Round selection in the 2025 MLB Draft, the Mets have taken RHP Peter Kussow - Arrowhead High School, Wisconsin, Ht.: 6'5" / Wt.: 205 / Bats: R / Throws: R; DOB: 12/08/2006.

From MLB Pipeline: “Scouting grades: Fastball: 55 | Slider: 55 | Changeup: 50 | Control: 45 | Overall: 40…Wisconsin's best prospect this year, Kussow flies under the radar more than he should…Kussow works with a low-90s fastball that tops out at 97 mph with some carry and armside run… He doesn't have the smoothest delivery, which further adds to his deception, though it also can compromise his ability to throw strikes.”

Baseball Prospect Journal: "His curveball has drawn comparisons to New York Yankees right-hander Clarke Schmidt, thanks to its sharp shape and impressive velocity."

Peter is pledged to University of Louisville.  The Mets will likely need to pay over slot to sign him.  

Peter Kussow is Wisconsin's new top-ranked senior, due in part to this ferocious breaking ball.
