- Francisco Lindor (2-4, HR, RBI, BB, 2 R): Led off the bottom of the first with a solo home run.
- Pete Alonso (1-4, HR, RBI, R): Crushed a solo home run in the second inning to extend the Mets lead to 2-0…Was his 100th career home run at Citi Field…Joins Darryl Strawberry (127) and Mike Piazza (105) as the only Mets with 100 or more homers in Queens.
- Mark Vientos (2-4, 2B, RBI): Pulled a double in the fourth inning to push the Mets lead to 4-0.
NY Post: Luis Severino pitches rare complete-game shutout tolead Mets past Marlins again. “Severino drilled Jake Burger with his first
pitch in the ninth and Mendoza went to the mound. The Citi Field crowd booed,
thinking Mendoza was going to pull Severino for Edwin Diaz. But with Severino’s
velocity still up, Mendoza let him go batter-by-batter, telling him, ‘This is
your game.’”

From the Mets 4 Cardinals 2 Post Game Notes:
- Jose Quintana retired the first 10 Cardinals batters of the game...home run allowed to Tyler O'Neill in the 7th inning ended a 22.1 consecutive scoreless innings streak at Busch Stadium dating back to Sept. 6, 2022 that included the 2022 NL Wild Card Series.
- Tim Locastro hit his 8th career home run, three of which have been pinch hit homers.

- The Mets snapped a seven-game road losing streak...have won five of their last six games at Busch Stadium (May 5, 2021-present).
NY Post: Jose Quintana, Pete Alonso propel Mets past Cardinals. “[Quintana] dominated into the seventh inning Thursday night against the Cardinals before he weakened, but with help from the bullpen, the Mets held on for a 4-2 victory at Busch Stadium. It was the fifth straight start in which Quintana, who got his first Mets win, pitched at least six innings and allowed three earned runs or fewer. He went six-plus innings and surrendered two earned runs on three hits and four walks with five strikeouts.”

He became just the fifth player in franchise history to homer in his first major league at-bat, helping the Mets to a much-needed 9-7 victory over the Braves… Baty wasn’t alone in displaying power on this night: Starling Marte homered twice and Francisco Lindor hit another to help lead the Mets’ 14-hit attack”

SNY.TV: Mets Takeaways from Monday's 11-4 win over the Marlins, including Pete Alonso and Robinson Cano playing Home Run Derby. Duo went back-to-back in the sixth after each homering earlier in the contest.
Mets360: “The homers were part of a nine-XBH night for the Mets. In all, the Mets banged out 14 hits, including four with runners in scoring position. They also drew eight walks and had three batters hit.”
Metstradamus: “[Chasen] Shreve, however, was dominant in his 2 and 1/3’s innings, striking out five batters without giving up a hit.
