The season is not over!
For the first time since 2024, the Mets won a game they trailed after eight innings. Down 5-1 at one point, they tied the game with a 3-run homer by Tyrone Taylor in the bottom of the ninth and then won the game on a chop over the pitcher’s head in the 10th, edging the Yankees, 6-5, Sunday afternoon at Citi Field. The Mets are now 5-4 in extra-inning games and they finished the homestand 5-1.
