Mets: 

  • Took the rubber game of the Subway Series, 7-6, in 10 innings...Have now won four of their last five series and improve to 10-5 in the month of May...Each of their five wins this homestand were a comeback win...The four-run deficit they erased was their biggest comeback of the season...Marked their first win when trailing heading into the ninth inning since September 30, 2024 (G1) at Atlanta...They had lost their previous 91 games when trailing after eight innings...It was the longest streak in the majors...Their three-run comeback in the ninth inning was the largest deficit they have overcome to win a game in the Subway Series...Per Sarah Langs.
  • Recorded their fourth walk-off win of the season which is tied for the second-most in the majors...Improved to 5-4 in extra innings this season.
  • Improved to 22-22 against the Yankees all-time at Citi Field and 12-4 against their crosstown rivals in Queens since 2020.

Freddy Peralta (5.0+ IP, 2 H, 3 ER, 6 BB, 4 K): Completed 5.0 innings and issued a career-high-tying six walks while allowing three runs...Marked the third time in his career he has issued six walks (last: 5/5/24 at CHC w/MIL)...Allowed a season-low two hits...The last time he allowed two or fewer hits was September 16, 2025 vs. Los Angeles-AL while with Milwaukee...He has completed at least 5.0 innings in nine of his 10 starts this season.

Tyrone Taylor (1-3, HR, 3 RBI, R): Launched a game-tying threerun homer in the ninth inning...Was his second career home run in the ninth inning or later that gave his team the lead or tied the game (also: 9/3/22 at ARZ w/MIL).

Carson Benge (1-5, RBI, R): Recorded his second walk-off of the season when he drove in the winning run with a fielder's choice in the 10th inning...In May he is hitting .333 (18-54) with a .853 OPS.

Juan Soto (1-5, R, SB): Singled to right field in the first inning...Over this six-game homestand, he slashed .348/.423/.609 (8-23) with two home runs, four RBI, three walks and six runs.

AJ Ewing (1-1, 3 BB, R, SB): 

  • Singled in the third inning and drew walks in the fourth, sixth and eighth innings...Reached base safely four times for the second time through his first six games...He is the third player in franchise history to reach base four or more times in multiple games through their first six career games (also: Kaz Matsui, 2004 and Mike Jacobs, 2005)...He is the second player in franchise history to draw at least seven walks in their first six career games (also: Kaz Matsui, 2004). 
  • Through his first six career games, he has reached base safely 12 times and stole two bases...He is only the only player in franchise history to do so.

Brett Baty (1-4, BB): Singled to center field in the fourth inning and drew a walk in the ninth...He has reached base safely in each of his last nine games...During the month of May he is slashing .273/.396/.409 (12-44).

Marcus Semien (2-5, 2B, RBI, 2 R): Tied the game at 1-1 with an RBI double in the fourth inning...Over 15 games in May, he is batting .250 (14-56) with four extra-base hits (2 2B, 2 HR).

Mark Vientos (2-5, R): Singled in both the fourth and fifth innings...Marks his eighth multi-hit game of the season...He has hit safely in seven of his last nine games and he is batting .270 (10-37).

Luis Torrens (1-2, 2B, 2 RBI): Cut the Mets deficit to 5-3 with a two-run pinch-hit double in the sixth inning...Was his fifth double of the season...Is 2-4 with two doubles and four RBI as a pinch-hitter this season.

Devin Williams (1.0 IP, BB, K): Earned his third win of the season after working a scoreless 10th inning...His three wins as a reliever are tied for the eighth-most in the majors and the fourth-most in the NL...Each of his last eight appearances have been scoreless dating back to April 26 (8.2 IP)
