Christian Scott (6.1 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 BB, 7 K, HR, HBP): Earned his fourth win of the season after firing 6.1 innings and allowing three runs while striking out seven...Marked his longest outing of the season and was just the second time he recorded an out in the seventh inning in his career (also: 6.2 IP on 5/4/24 at TB)...Recorded seven or more strikeouts for the eight time this season...He has struck out at least six batters in each of his last six starts and in nine of his last 10 starts dating back to June 11...Hasn't allowed more than four runs through his first 27 Major League starts (with no relief appearances)...He is the only Met to accomplish the feat and only the third player in Major League history to do so (also: Ian Anderson and Shane McClanahan).
Jared Young (2-4, 2B, RBI, R): Singled in the fourth inning and plated one with a double in the fifth...Has hit safely in each of his last six games...It is his longest hitting streak this season and matches his career-high (also: 9/20/22-6/30/23)... Over his last 32 games dating back to July 5 he is slashing .333/.402/.515 (33-99) with eight doubles, two triples, two home runs, 15 RBI, eight walks, 14 runs and an .917 OPS.
Luis Torrens (1-3, HR, 2 RBI, R): Blasted a two-run homer in the fourth inning to give the Mets a 3-2...Has four home runs over his last six games...Is tied for his most home runs over any six-game span in his career (last: 6/17-26/21)...Over his last nine games he is batting .321 (9-28) with five extra-base hits (2B, 4 HR), 11 RBI with an 1.210 OPS.
Bo Bichette (3-3, 3B, BB): Singled in the first and fifth innings then tripled to center field in the seventh...Was his second triple of the season (also: 6/5 at SD)...Also drew a walk in the third....Has hit safely in six of his last seven games...In 65 games since the start of June, he is batting .310/.349/.459 (79-255) with an .808 OPS...In the NL, his 76 hits rank fifth and his batting average ranks seventh over that span among qualifiers.
