The New York Mets have announced the following roster moves:
Per the Mets News and Links transactions tracker, the have obtained RHP Matt Seelinger from the Detroit Tigers for Cash Considerations. He has been assigned to Syracuse Mets.
Seelinger, 31, a relief pitcher, was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2017. He was with the Long Island Ducks in 2024 where he was signed by the Tigers. This year he has spent the entire season at AAA Toledo.
Other recent Mets Roster Moves:
St. Lucie Mets sent OF Randy Guzman on a rehab assignment to FCL Mets.
St. Lucie Mets activated 3B AJ Salgado from the 7-day injured list.
Brooklyn Cyclones sent RHP Calvin Ziegler on a rehab assignment to St. Lucie Mets.
Syracuse Mets released 3B Grae Kessinger.
